Should there be an issue for this, or is there an efficient workaround on Linux? My DAC doesn't support SND_PCM_FORMAT_FLOAT_LE

Choose a 16-bit format and use the conversion functions in SuperpoweredSimple.h, or use the "plug" devices for format conversion inside ALSA.
