Superpowered is not built around or on Open SL ES.
Superpowered audio processing happens in Superpowered -- Superpowered is required to use Open SL ES for Android audio I/O -- but to repeat, Superpowered is entirely separate from Open SL ES.
We solve compatibility in that all of our audio features are available on any Android device because Superpowered does all the audio processing.
In what way does your engine solve the compatibility issues? Is it that you solve compatibility issues on a per-issue basis? Do you reimplement buggy features from OpenSL ES?
